1. வேயுறு தோளி பங்கன் விடமுண்ட கண்டன் மிக நல்ல வீணை தடவி
மாசறு திங்கள் கங்கை முடி மேல் அணிந்து என் உளமே புகுந்த அதனால்
ஞாயிறு திங்கள் செவ்வாய் புதன் வியாழன் வெள்ளி சனி பாம்பிரண்டும் உடனே
ஆசறு நல்லநல்ல அவை நல்லநல்ல அடியாரவர்க்கு மிகவே!
பாடல் விளக்கம்
மூங்கில் போன்ற தோளினை உடைய உமையவளைத் தனது ஒரு பாகமாக கொண்ட ஈசன், ஆலகால விஷத்தை உண்டு அதனால் நீலகண்டன்யென்ற பெயர் பெற்றவன். மிக நல்ல வீணையை மீட்டிக் கொண்டும், பிறையையும், கங்கையையும் தன் முடி மேல் அணிந்து கொள்ளும் எம்பெருமான் என் உள்ளத்தில் உறைகின்ற காரணத்தால் சூரியன், சந்திரன், செவ்வாய், புதன், குரு, சுக்கிரன், சனி, மற்றும் பாம்பாகிய ராகு- கேது என்னும் ஒன்பது கோள்களும் எனக்கு ஒரு கெடுதலும் செய்யாதவையாகயிருக்கும். ஈசனை மனதில் கொண்டோர்க்கு என்றும் கோள்கள் நன்மையை மட்டுமே செய்யும்.
ENGLISH MEANING
The Lord lives in my heart. He is the one who plays the lovely Veena, wears the moon and the Ganga river on his head, and has the goddess with shoulders like bamboo as a part of him. He was named Neelakandan because he drank the poison that flowed out of the ocean. I shall therefore be safe from damage from all nine planets, including the snake-like Rahu-Ketu and the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn. The planets will only bring wonderful things to people who have the Lord Shiva in their hearts.

பொன்பொதி மத்தமாலை புனல் சூடி வந்தென் உளமே புகுந்த அதனால்

அன்பொடு நல்லநல்ல அவை நல்லநல்ல அடியாரவர்க்கு மிகவே!

எலும்பு, கொம்பு, ஆமை ஓடு முதலானவையைத் தன் மார்பில் அணிந்து, எருதின் மேல் உமையவளுடன் ஏறி, பொன்போலொளிரும் மகரந்தத்தையுடைய ஊமத்தை மலர்களாலான மாலை தரித்து, தலையில் கங்கையை அணியும் சிவபெருமான் என் உள்ளத்தே உறைகின்ற காரணத்தால், அசுவினி முதலாக ரேவதி வரை உள்ள நட்சத்திரங்களளில் ஆகாதனவாகிய ஒன்பது, பத்து, பதினாறு, பதினெட்டு, ஆறு ஆகிய எண்ணிக்கையில் வரும் நட்சத்திரங்கள் வரும் நாட்களில் பயணம் தொடங்குதற் கூடாது.

முதலான நடசத்திரம் வரும் நாட்கள் பயணத்திற்கு விலக்கப்பட்ட நாட்கள் ஆகும். ஆனால் என் மனதில் ஈசன் குடிகொண்ட காரணத்தால் அவை எந்தவொரு கெடுதலும் செய்யாதவையாக இருக்கும். ஈசனை மனதில் கொண்டோர்க்கு நட்சத்திரங்கள் யாவும் அன்பு கொண்டு எந்த நாளும் நன்மையை மட்டுமே செய்யும்
ENGLISH MEANING
In the divine presence of Lord Shiva alongside Uma, adorned with a myriad of symbols such as bones, a wild boar's tusk, a turtle's shell, a golden Unmatha string, and the sacred waters of the Ganges, the divine couple sits upon the revered bull, Nandi. Yet, it is within the depths of my heart that Lord Shiva and Uma Devi find their abode. As a result, the influence of stars traditionally associated with misfortune—namely Kettai, Tiruvadhirai, Ayilyam, Magam, and Visagam—holds no sway over me when embarking on journeys during those days. Such celestial alignments, considered ominous by many, pose no harm to those devoted to Him; instead, they bestow blessings. Having Lord Shiva entrenched in one's heart ensures all stars align to bring favourable outcomes and prosperity.
3. உருவளர் பவளமேனி ஒளி நீறணிந்து உமையோடும் வெள்ளை விடை மேல்
முருகலர் கொன்றை திங்கள் முடிமேல் அணிந்தென் உளமே புகுந்த அதனால்
திருமகள் கலையதூர்தி செயமாது பூமி திசை தெய்வமான பலவும்
அருநெதி நல்லநல்ல அவை நல்லநல்ல அடியார் அவர்க்கு மிகவே.

அழகிய பவளம் போன்ற சிவந்த திருமேனியில் ஒளிபொருந்திய வெண்ணீறை அணிந்து, உமையோடு வெள்ளை எருதின் மேல் ஏறி வரும் எம்பெருமான் , மணம் வீசும் கொன்றை மலரையும், சந்திரனையும் தன் முடிமேல் அணிந்து என் உள்ளத்துள் குடிபுகுந்து தங்கியுள்ள காரணத்தால் திருமகள், கலைகளை ஊர்தியாகக் கொண்ட கலைமகள், ஜெயமகள், பூமாதேவி, திசைத் தெய்வங்கள் ஆன பலரும் அரிய செல்வத்தையே நன்மையாய் அளிப்பர். அடியவர்களுக்கு எப்போதும் நன்மையையே மட்டுமே செய்வர்.

Lord Shiva, adorned with sacred ashes, shines like a gem in my heart. The crescent moon and fragrant Konrai flower garland decorate his head as he rides the White Bull with Uma Devi. With the Lord in the heart, Goddesses Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Durga, Bhooma Devi, and other celestial beings from all directions shower followers with wealth. Shiva worshipers are blessed by these kind Goddesses, who remove all sadness and suffering.

நதியொடு கொன்றை மாலை முடிமே லணிந்தென் உளமே புகுந்த அதனால்
கொதியுறு காலனங்கி நமனோடு தூதர் கொடுநோய் களான பலவும்
அதிகுணம் நல்லநல்ல அவை நல்லநல்ல அடியாரவர்க்கு மிகவே.

பிறைபோன்ற நெற்றியை உடைய உமையம்மையோடு ஆலமரத்தின்கீழ் இருந்து வேதங்களை அருளிய எங்கள் பரமன், கங்கை நதியையும் கொன்றை மாலையையும் முடிமேல் அணிந்து என் உள்ளத்துள் புகுந்து தங்கியுள்ளான். அதனால் ஆத்திரமுடைய காலன், அக்கினி, யமதூதர், கொடிய நோய்கள் எல்லாம் மிக நல்ல குணமுடையனவாகவாக நல்லதையே செய்யும். அடியவர்களுக்கு எப்போதும் மிகவும் நல்லதை மட்டுமே செய்யும்.

The divine presence of our Lord, who bestowed the sacred Vedas beneath the majestic banyan tree, accompanied by Uma Devi with a radiant forehead resembling a crescent moon, has graciously taken residence within my soul. Adorned with the holy river Ganges and a garland of twilight,When we have the Lord protecting our hearts, we do not have to be afraid of Yama, who is the God of Death, Agni, who is the God of Fire, or the messengers of Death who bring forth terrible sicknesses.
Those who devote themselves to Lord Siva will experience nothing but joy and health in their lives.
5. நஞ்சணி கண்டன் எந்தை மடவாள் தனோடும் விடையேறு நங்கள் பரமன்
துஞ்சிருள் வன்னி கொன்றை முடிமேலணிந்தென் உளமே புகுந்த அதனால்
வெஞ்சின அவுணரோடும் உருமிடியும் மின்னும் மிகையான பூத மவையும்
அஞ்சிடும் நல்லநல்ல அவை நல்லநல்ல அடியாரவர்க்கு மிகவே.

கழுத்தில் ஆலகால விஷத்தை தாங்கி உமாதேவியோடு ரிஷப வாகனத்தில் அமர்ந்து காட்சியருளும் பரமன்,என் தந்தையாகிய நஞ்சணிகண்டன்,கறுத்த வன்னிமலரையும், கொன்றை மலரையும் தன் முடிமேல் அணிந்து என் உள்ளத்துள் புகுந்து தங்கியுள்ளான். அதனால் கொடிய சினமிகுந்தமிகுந்த அரக்கர்களும், உறுமுகின்ற இடியும், மின்னலும், செருக்குடைய பஞ்ச பூதங்களும் என் போன்ற அடியவர்களுக்கு பயந்து மிக நல்லனவை மட்டுமே செய்யும்.

Having ingested the lethal poison during the churning of the ocean and riding the divine bull with Goddess Uma, the Supreme Being, my father Nanjanikandan, adorned with a blue throat and a garland of konrai and vanni flowers on His matted locks, descended into the depths of my heart, manifesting His divine presence. Consequently, He generously bestows immense goodness exclusively upon dedicated followers like myself. The awe-inspiring magnificient beings, the radiant lightning, the resounding thunder, and the five elements shower nothing but the utmost benevolence upon individuals like me who are devoted to Him.
