Dwadashi is the twelfth lunar day. It falls twice in every month, one on Shukla Paksha and the other on Krishna Paksha.
Today's Tithi is Bhishma Dwadashi.
Lord Vishnu is worshipped on this day.
It is believed that on the month of Magha during Shukla Dwadashi day Pandavas has performed the last rites of Bhishma.
